“Who does not thank for little will not thank for much.” — Estonian Proverb
“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.” — Oscar Wilde
Dear Friend,
When they’re put side by side, two of the most powerful words in the English language are the words, “Thank you.”
I don’t know about you, but even though I do my best to try to share
a “thank you” whenever it’s appropriate… I know I miss too many
opportunities.
Since our country’s official Thanksgiving celebration falls in the month of November, I declare November my own personal month of thanks.
I invite you to join me.
Say a “thank you” to the person who holds the door for you… hands you your change at the
grocery store… or stops to let you cross the street (even though you’re jay-walking). Share a “Thanks!” with your spouse when he or she takes out the trash, does the laundry or picks
up the dry cleaning… without being asked.
Let your friends, family, co-workers and even total strangers know they are appreciated.
Do it on a daily basis.
And my thanks to you for doing it. As G. B. Stern reminds us…“Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.”
